★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of my favorite udon in Osaka. Here they serve udon and duck soup separately. And when you finish udon, you add ginger water into the soup, and drink it. It's very unique taste!

You dip the noodles into a thick intricately layered broth and then eat it. After you finish the noodles, they give you a flask of ginger infused noodle water to add to your broth, so you can drink it - - all this for for $6 to $10 depending on sizes and sides.
Broth
The broth is duck and fish based with a skinned (so the flavor soaks in faster) fresh lemon and a quail egg. The fish brings everything together and enhances the duck flavor.
Noodle
You get a choice between traditional soba and udon, or Chinese ramen. You can choose to have it regular or iced. The ice stops the noodles from cooking and make them chewier.
Ginger water
Like a good Italian pasta that reuses the water used to cook the noodles, the ginger water is made with noodle broth

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Chances upon this store and it’s good! When mixed with ginger water at the end of the meal, soup becomes interesting. Noodles tasted great and duck was nice. Good if you are looking for a simple meal! Just note that portions are double each other - L = 2 x M = 4 X S
