★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The ramen was good but the fried chicken was even better. Would recommend if you're looking for a ramen at the area! The queue here is very long even before it opens so you should try to get there as early as possible! There's a queue at 1115 eventho it opens at 1130!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Popular ramen restaurant located away from the tourist mobs of Kyoto. Attended on a Sunday afternoon and waited approximately 40 minutes. Ordered the set meal, which I suggest is far more than enough for 1 person! Included a delicious bowl of ramen, 3 pieces of karaage (fried chicken), a bowl of rice and a small dish of pickled vegetables. The staff are friendly and can accommodate English speaking guests. English menu also available. The small bowl on the table is ‘nira goma’ (garlic chives and sesame) which can be used to season your dishes.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A fantastic little ramen restaurant in the heart of Kyoto's ramen neighborhood. I usually order the char siu ramen (チャーシュー・ラーメン) which is always delicious. If you go for the ramen set (定食), you'll also receive three pieces of gigantic (and also very good) deep-fried chicken (唐揚げ). This restaurant is happy to attend families with small children, and they have some children books and toys so the little ones get entertained while waiting. At the end of the dinner, they'll also receive a lollipop (ペロペロキャンディ) which is sure to bring them a big smile. And there's never, ever, anything more precious than seeing your children smile. Five stars is just for the food. And my big, personal recommendation is for making my daugther smile. Highly recommended! ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pretty nice spot in the Ramen district of Kyoto. If is not sold out, take the “Suji Ramen” which has a more subtle flavor of a normal Tonkotsu-base ramen.
Definitely take the Karage-set, but be prepared because the portions are huge!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My foodie friend in Kyoto told me about this place. It was voted the best ramen in Kyoto and their beef tendon ramen is particularly great. I went with high expectations and it did not disappoint me!
If you can stomach, so try and get the fried chicken too! Miss this place every time I think of ramen.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Veryyyy big portion for teishoku menu. I didnt expect sucj a big plate of juicy crunchy karaage with a lot of cabbage mixed with mustard. The chuuka ramen isnt good though. The chili sauce on the table is very salty so dont add a lot of it to your ramen. You can take karaage home if you cant finish them.
