The fact that there is a Buddhist temple in this place, which is said to be the Uchihama village, shows that the Buddhist priest was regarded as a folk in the Edo period.

Ruins of Shichijo Buddhist Temple This place is the place where there was a Buddhist temple where the Buddhist (Buddha sculptor) Jocho, who was active in the middle of the Heian period, and his family, children, and descendants lived long and worked hard on the sculpture. It was called "Nishijo Daibutsu". On the morning of the morning, the author of the Buddhist statue of Amida Nyorai (national treasure) at the Byodoin Phoenix Hall, completed an excellent sculptural style called "Wa-sama", and was given a monk's Hohashi bridge by his outstanding technique. Sought to improve the social status of Buddhist masters, including the establishment of a Buddhist office system as a joint organization. For these reasons, in the morning we are called the ancestors of Buddhist teachers in Japan. 運 In the Kamakura era, Unkei, Tankei and Kaikei emerged from this Buddhist temple one after another, and sent many robust and realistic masterpieces to the world. However, in the Muromachi period, the sculpture did not behave as a whole, and this Buddhist place also moved to Shijo Karasuma when the 21st generation Yasumasa. Later, a fire struck in the late Tokugawa period and the remains of the Buddhist place were completely lost.

It is said that the ancestors of the Buddhist family came to practice here from Yamagata in the late Edo period. I wanted to feel what kind of place it was and what I thought there, so I stopped by when I traveled to Kyoto. It was explained that the Buddhist place moved from here to Shijo-Karasuma before the Edo period and declined in the late Edo period. I felt the connection between Kyoto and the Buddha statue because the remains of the Buddhist place were properly preserved. I think that there was a considerable amount of determination and hard work for Buddhist Buddhists in the rural areas of the Tohoku region to come to Kyoto, yearning for technology. One day is enough now to come, but I imagined how long it took and how I lived and learned technology.
