★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Interesting entrance down a closed Ashley and around the back. It has cool personal drawers with napkins, tooth picks, spices, and chopsticks. I had the curry dip with an egg and it was great.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tasty, plenty and familiar atmosphere. I liked it and I compare it with many other Ramen places. 750 yen and you eat a huge portion. Could Not finish mine. The cute lady was polite and profi.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing pork ramen at Ramen Daiei. They only sell pork ramen, regular or extra large, soy or miso broth. You can then add extra meat, bamboo shoots, bean sprouts or spring onions. 12 seats at the counter, great food, and zero frills. The portions are massive.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place for ramen, they only serve a few type of ramen. Soy base and miso base. But each of them a fantastic!
We each got our own kind and tried with different variations. It was amazing.
The store is open late and the owner is really friendly.
There is a space on tge side of the restaurant for your bike and you can store it there while you wait to be seated.
There is not much place inside for seating I would say about 10-15 seats maximum. But they turn fast and and you can get seated quickly.
The price is good and the portions will fill you up. You can even add extra meat if you are super hungry.
We will come back!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great Ramen and worth the walk to find this place. About 15 minute walk from Kyoto station but well worth it. They have both Soysauce and Miso flavor. Be warned that the regular size is very filling. I ordered the extra Chashu/pork, green onions and bean sprouts and could not finish it. Nice thing is there was very little oil and even though salty, with the extra vegetables it was just right. Next time I will get the regular size with just the extra green onions. There was free green leeks in red peppers and minced garlic which have it an amazing punch.
The staff/owners were also very friendly and welcoming.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Spent one week in Kyoto beginning of 2020 and had to visit this place twice. Best ramen I have ever had in a cozy little restaurant with lovely owners. If I ever visit the city again, really hope that this place is still there
