There are probably no people who mistake it for Omihachiman. I visited to lick it because I thought I wouldn't revisit it unless something happened.

w	woodbell 226 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ JR東海の駅で唯一「近江」を関した駅名。伊吹山登山の基地になっている。この駅から望む伊吹山は美しい。周辺に高校があり高校生の利用が多い。最近ロータリなどを整備、コインパーキングも併設された。駅前がキレイになったが、屋根つきの自転車置き場がないことが気になる。一番線から乗降することができず、地下道で線路をくぐって２番線～４番線に行く謎構造である。かつて付近の鉱業会社の引き込み線があった名残だろうか。 The only station name related to "Omi" at JR Central Station.
