★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not foreigner friendly. Staff was rude and disrespectful to foreigners. Gyoza was overpriced and not worth the money. Cook was smoking directly in the kitchen. Unfortunately I do not recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Karaoke machine was nice. but songs were outdated. Also I had a party of 15, and for the price (kinda expensive), the service seemed a bit slow. Had to order four beers twice before the first set finally came out. Eventually we just told them to not stop bringing us beers lol.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ SO DELICIOUS! The soba set is delightful and a great value. We also got the rice soup with salmon, the chicken and eggplant skewer, and gyoza. All were wonderful. The service and setting were also very pleasant. My husband and I had a great experience here getting warmed up and fueled after a full day on the slopes.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It’s a shame that in a place like Hakuba, that prides itself on hospitality, there exists such a disaster. A waiter came to take our order about 15 mins after we were seated, to which I responded “Sorry we are still waiting for our menus”. He apologised, got us menus and then we waited, and waited, and waited. They served the group behind us, as well as 2 other groups that arrived after we were given our menus. Everyone was eating, except us. Despite making eye contact with the waiters as they passed by our empty table, we were simply ignored. After about half an hour after receiving our menus, I decided to go to the front counter and let someone know that we were waiting for someone to take our orders (something I should NOT need to do). The waiter apologised, took our orders and offered complementary drinks; a thoughtful gesture, but it was too late. After 45 mins of just waiting, I wasn’t gonna accept a complementary drink over a 1 star review. The food was alright though.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ we went in the afternoon so only lunch menu was available. very delicious soba noodles! and the service was top notch. especially when we asked for something different for our little girl they were happy to suggest and prepare something not on the menu. but the best about this place is the huge terrace overlooking the moutains. so beautiful!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice choice of food. The Genghis Khan barbecue was delicious. The meat was really good. But also the variety of side dishes was great. 3rd time we came here already. Better to book in advance.
