★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My saving grace in Echoland.. Has all the basics you need like snacks, drinks, personal care products, alcohol, durries and souvenirs. Staff are very friendly as well. I'm pretty sure I visited this place every day.

Two large dogs walking around inside which aren't so friendly.
Staff have ok English. You can send luggage from here to anywhere in Japan or airport.
Also does luggage hold for a few days on request.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The lady serving me helped me use up my huge amounts of tiny Japanese yen! Great service, plus the presence of a beautiful dog and a wide variety of snacks definitely made it worth visiting on a daily basis while in Hakuba!

As a great point, there are 2 golden retrievers who sit/sleep in the shop and the owners let you pat them if you’re respectful enough! That alone I would give 5 stars. You can literally feed yourself breakfast and dinner on a budget here and it’s delicious

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the best conbini you will ever go to! They have a super cute golden retriever named Cherry that will follow you around the store and let you pet her. She is amazing!! They also have very cheap alcohol and snacks for partying after a long day snowboarding on the mountains.
