The old lady there made us a tasty udon meal in no time and we made it to the train on time at the end
And there's a handsome staff there. Haha

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you enjoy frozen pre-crumbed katsu in mediocre gravy while the dude at the next table lights up a cigarette, then this is the place for you. Prices arent cheap, and the place seems to be set up to accomodate in/out flash bus tours, hence the quick turn around time on your order.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Super cheap food, old school Japanese style eatery. Wide menu with soba, udon, tonkatsu etc. Also serving up local Hakuba brewery ales.
Come here if you’ve just got off the bus/train and starving for hearty rice heavy goodness. Great curry too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The restaurant is nice and has huge variety of food. Their spicy kimchi is the best. It is just 2 min walk away from the station. Located in tye 2f. 1f is a gift shop. I put my luggage in the 1f shop and go ahead to 2f for the restaurant.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very good food- hot, fresh and delicious! This restaurant is right outside Hakuba station and I would recommend having a meal here just because the food is so good (we ordered the Teishoku set). The portions are quite large, so those with smaller appetites might benefit from ordering smaller dishes instead of the set meals so as to avoid wastage. The staff is friendly, and the space has a familiar, comfortable, even vintage vibe to it. Definitely recommend stopping here either on your way in or out of Hakuba.
