V	Vempi Satriya on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the most popular park in the downtown of Sendai. Convenient for family and kids playing around playgrounds and exploring various living things. Especially, in Autumn season, this park looks very awesome.

There were at least 20 vendors selling locally produced food for ¥500-¥600 a serving. Cherry blossoms still very beautiful even though peak viewing time has passed. There was also a small collection of vendors selling goods that appeared to be second hand . Very nice place to relax for a few hours but you need a water proof mat as there is not grass to sit on and the ground is just moist dirt. Not sure it would be worth visiting outside of cherry blossom season.

As a park it is nothing special, what makes it fun is the plentiful cherry trees and people compacted together enjoying food and drinks. During cherry blossom time it also have evening lights which is fun, bring your jacket for the evening cherry blossom viewing.

Situated next to Omachi Nishi Koen Station (west 1), 10-15 min walking distance from Sendai station or Katahira Campus of Tohoku University. A beautiful shrine ‘Sakuragaoka-daijingu Shrine. Good for relaxation, recreation on weekends or an afternoon nap ;) You can see young skaters enjoying there often. Peak time of cherry blossom is first week of April. I visited on 7 April 2021 ??✨! T	Toni on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place for hanging out with friends and having some beers with your friends. Definetely a must-go if you are in Sendai im spring during sakura season and they have bloomed already. During this period there are some stands where you can buy food and drinks. The park is really big and even if it is very crowded you should still be able to find some space. There are also public bathrooms which are well maintained, and there's even a place to leave the trash before you leave.
