★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Heard this was the most famous ramen in the area. We waited one hour to get in. If it's your first time going, make sure you enter the first door to use the ticket machine and reserve a place in line.
The shop is big and busy, the staff were running non-stop to keep up with all the customers and orders. Because of that, we got overlooked and no one tried to take our order for over 10 minutes. We felt bad waving them down because they were dashing all over the place but finally were able to catch someone's attention.
I found the shop a little dirty, which is unusual for Japan. Our table was slightly sticky and overall the whole place smelled like boiled bamboo (which I always feel smells like wet dog...) The floor by the water refill was slippery with oil from the soup.
The food was good but, honestly, not that different from other popular ramen shops in Sano. I do recommend adding an egg to whatever you order though, their eggs were delicious and are what made the meal pop. Everything was fresh and good. I wouldn't be willing to wait more than an hour for it though.
