Its location is outstanding in that after breakfast you can beat the crowds and walk either direction parallel to the hill to enjoy 2 of Kyotos most historical neighborhoods. As the owner of Machiya Maya Gion we have recommended it to many of our guests.

If you're near by, do yourself a favour and stop in. My wife and I will be back after we walk through the temple to try the cake menu.
