J	Jack on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Such a nice Pagoda, Kyoto is lovely, we missed this one the first day when we walked the streets, but want back and very glad we did it has an awesome pressence in the urban jungle. Happy little light in the busy street. Be nice to avoid the crowds, but wasn't too bad in the busy times as not that many were as interested, but great to see.

The architecture and culture that is present in the surrounding area is very welcoming for tourists to experience. Lots of little shops around that add more culture to the area. Prime location for cherry blossom viewings and people wearing traditional clothing like kimonos. It was pretty crowded, but that was to be expected visiting in the peak of cherry blossom season.

A	Annie Sobol on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Classic views of this rustic and iconic pagoda in the Gion District. This area gets quite busy after 4pm and on the weekends because the structure is lit for a period of time in the evening. I was able to find 24 hour parking with a fee about a block away.
N	Natalie Moore on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went after it closed so I wasn’t able to explore very much, and it was a long walk to the subway station but I enjoyed walking around the surrounding streets, looking in shops, and enjoying the view. I believe I would’ve enjoyed it even more if it was open.

One of Kyoto's infamous landmarks surrounded by cobbled alley streets that give this location the traditional historic Kyoto feel. The surrounding buildings are all designed to Japanese historic architecture standards. Make sure you walk around and try to find the hidden Starbucks.

S	Shingo Sae-Lim on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ (Trip was made back then on 4 Dec 2019, 2 years before the Covid-19 Pandemic hit) Hokanji Temple (Yasaka Pagoda), along with Ninenzaka and Sannenzaka, is one of the iconic landmarks located within Higashiyama district that is renowned for its well-preserved historical charming streetscape. It’s a very scenic pedestrian-only street where lots of tourists flock to for a photo opportunity. Tourists aside, it’s a very atmospheric street where you would enjoy strolling along the olden streets and enjoying its old world charm. The streets are lined with tonnes of interesting eateries, souvenir and gift shops that would keep you occupied for hours. We enjoyed it so much that we visited the destination a few times during our trip 2 years ago. Definitely one of our favourite places to visit in Kyoto.
