★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This isn’t Japanese ramen, it’s an attempt at Chinese 拉面, and a poor one at that. The noodles are packet egg noodles, so there’s no 拉 in this 面 (拉面 are supposed to be hand-pulled noodles.)
The reason people in their reviews write “it looks bad but tastes nice, why is that?” is probably because of all the MSG in it. Trying to make a flavourful broth with minimal effort. The “shio” (salt) broth is the same awful taste of MSG-soup that comes free with every bad Hainan chicken rice.
Terrifying how many good reviews this place has.
