★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great experience. The guy working there was really calm and very friendly. His english was good enough to teach and a great hands on instructor. If you make a mistake he's really easy going and he gave us extra tries and more clay to work with. Very affordable. Service and ambiance was great. Can't think of anything negative. Would give 6 starts if I could.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great experience making our own bowls. Bowls are couriered anywhere in the world about 6 weeks after you have made them. 8 colours to choose from for the glaze. Great fun, you can make a bowl or cup. The prices were very reasonable.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful experience making our own souvenirs. Really nice, patient man. We just received our pots about 6 weeks after making them. They were couriered to Australia - arrived in perfect condition. The dude paints and dries them for you and he did a beautiful job on ours. It is excellent value for money, especially when you consider the price of sending them to your home country. So pleased we did this.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I found this place via Booking website as a suggestion for Kyoto activities (they have convenient delivery options for both - domestic and international deliveries; also, payment can also be made via Booking website), decided to give it a try and never regret.
Wonderful pottery wheel experience, that took about 20 minutes (perfect for those who have tight schedule or want to fit as many in Kyoto interesting activities as possible).
There are two basic options at the moment - to make a cup or a bowl. I went for a cup making class and enjoyed it very much.
The teacher give great advice on how to work with clay, shape and color for the cup (as I specified I’d like to make matcha cup).
I highly recommend to include this class into your Kyoto experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful pottery experience! It was my first time at the wheel and the instructor was very clear and helpful; he made the experience both informative and enjoyable! The end result is a lovely chawan that I can use and remember my trip to Kyoto.

I definitely recommend doing this, it’s pretty quick( ~20min) and very reasonably priced including shipping.
