 The big and neat temple is not an attraction but it is very beautiful with a weeping cherry tree.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ もう六年程前に今出川の通りを朝帰りで「北野白梅町駅」へと歩いていて近道の
つもりで道を間違え、「だんだん良くなる法華の太鼓」に導かれ思いもかけず本堂下まで来てしまった!。恐るべし朝の勤行。
これは実話です。付き合いが無いので「天満宮」にお参りして帰りました。（笑）
About six years ago, I walked down the street of Imadegawa to "Kitano-Shiraumecho Station" in the morning
I intentionally made a mistake on the wrong path and was guided by the "Fakka Taiko that is getting better", and I unexpectedly came down to the main hall. Awesome morning duty.
This is a true story. Since I have no relationship, I went back to Tenmangu. (Lol)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 特別な石庭などは見れませんでしたが、とても大きな立派なお寺です。
町歩きの途中、参拝がてら一休みさせていただくのは気持ちよかったです。
I couldn't see a special rock garden, but it's a very big temple.
It was pleasant to have a rest while worshiping while walking around town.

街中に突如現れる立派な寺院です(^^)
御首題は無い？ようで参拝記念のスタンプを押してもらいました♩
立本寺の御首題の次だったので気にしてましたが、参拝の証なので‼️(^^)

Motoyama Shionji Temple
As Nichiren under the gate, it seems to be the oldest temple in Kansai.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 北野天満宮の南側 。外から見る以上に内部は広く、本堂もかなり巨大だ。 法華宗の宗派のお寺であり、 創建は 鎌倉時代後期となる。 日蓮聖人の銅像が立っている。 ただし今現在の 建物などは比較的最近に 再建されたものだ。
The south side of Kitano Tenmangu. The interior is larger than it can be seen from the outside, and the main hall is also quite huge. It is a temple of the Hokke sect and was founded in the latter half of the Kamakura period. A statue of Nichiren Saint stands. However, the current buildings have been reconstructed relatively recently.

観光寺院ではないですが、何年かに一回特別拝観たさなど行っているやうです。
境内にボーイスカウト？の像がありました。
