この不動院の観音様は東日本大震災で台座から外れて落ちてしまいましたが、奇跡的にダメージが見られませんでした。お背中側のブロック塀と樹木をクッションにされ受け身を取った結果、見事に土の上で横たわられていました。現場の状況では御身が砕け散るのも当然と思える構造でしたが、これしかないという受け身は見事でした。さすがのお不動様の寺院ですね。まさにアスリート観音様です。アスリートはもちろんの事、スポーツ関係者もここで加護を受けられるといいのではないでしょうか！ここは弘法大師様の寺院ですから加持祈祷も行っています。震災後の5月の画像を付けました。
現在、観音様は元通りに姿を見せています。幸運をもたらしたブロック塀は復旧され新たに祠が設置されています。安全祈願も観音様に手を合わせる事で行えます。観音菩薩様の宝冠には化仏が見られます。これは阿弥陀如来様の授記、一生補処(いっしょうふしょ)の菩薩という事を示します。仏の弟子である観音菩薩に対して阿弥陀如来様が生まれかわりの成仏を予言している意味です。真言は「オン_アロリキャ_ソワカ」です。唱えて合掌します。
