祭神は天照大御神。由緒ははっきりしていません。1658年に伊勢神宮より勧請したら、戦後は独立社となります。
新町の住民は宇夫階神社の氏子であると同時に伊勢之宮神社の氏子であります。祭日は9月1日でその日は多くの露店が並んで映画や演劇が催されて子供たちには最大の楽しみだったのですが、現在は廃れて久しい状況です。
