岡山県の児島の由加神社を奉斎して祀っています。児島の由加神社と蓮台寺は神仏混合の瑜伽大権現と呼ばれ、参詣者は金比羅大権現と両社を巡ればご利益が大きくなるという事で、「ゆがさん・こんぴらんさん両参り」の風習が広がりました。
お年寄りからの言い伝えによると、昔はいろいろと行事があり、7月には夜店が出たり浪花節などが行われていたとのこと。戦後は宮司によりお祓いがされたこともあった。住民の信仰の対象となっており、毎朝お参りする人や、前を通るときにお辞儀する人も多いとのこと。
