聖通寺の入り口付近にあります。宇多津町例大祭（秋祭り）では太鼓台のゴールでもあります。
瀬戸大橋の四国側、坂出と宇多津にまたがって、聖通寺山があり、この南麓に「聖通寺」があります。聖通寺山を、宇多津側から上って行くと、正面である。石段の下の所に、鳥居があり石碑が立っています。その四面を見ると「壺平山聖通寺寶光院」「海中出現 本尊沖薬師如来」「聖寶尊師開山霊場也」「再建天明三巳年」と刻まれています。石碑の建てられた天明三年は、１７８３年で、この年は”天明の大飢饉の年でもあります。
 "Utazu Town: Tsubo Hirayama Seidoji Temple Hokkoin"
It is near the entrance of Tsubohirayama Shotsu. It is also the goal of the taikodai at the Utazu Town Annual Festival (Autumn Festival).
On the Shikoku side of the Setoo Bridge, straddling Sakaide and Utazu, there is Shotsujiyama, and at the southern foot of this is Tsubohirayama. If you go up Shotsujiyama from the Utazu side, you will see it in front of you. Below the stone steps, there is a torii gate and a stone monument stands. Looking at the four sides, it is engraved with "Tsubohirayama Shotsu-ji Temple Kokouin", "Underwater Appearance Honzon Oki Yakushi Nyorai", "Shobo Takashi Kaisan Reijoya", and "Reconstruction Tenmei Sanmi Year". The third year of Tenmei, when the stone monument was erected, is 1783, which is also the year of the Great Tenmei Famine.
