一見すると神社に見えません。建物の中にあるので一般公開されていない状態です。宇多津秋の例大祭などでは解放されて、中でお接待やうどんを作ったりしており、地域住民の集まる場所となっています。
祭神は八幡神。本源は宇佐八幡宮です。八幡神は古くは宇佐地方において繁栄した大神氏等の氏神でしたが、柳田国男の分析によると鍛冶を職業とする人々の神であったと推測しています。
この池之宮神社のあたりには「かじや町」があり、鍛冶職人たちもいたと思うので、その影響も受けているのかも知れません。
 "Utazu Town: Ikenomiya Shrine"
At first glance, it doesn't look like a shrine. Since it is inside the building, it is not open to the public. It is open to the public at the Utazu Autumn Festival, and is a place where local residents gather, as they make entertainment and udon noodles inside.
The deity is Hachiman. The origin is Usa Hachimangu. Hachiman was a god of prosperity such as Ogami in the Usa region in the old days, but according to the analysis of Kunio Yanagita, it is presumed that it was a god of people who have a profession of blacksmithing.
There is a "Kajiya Town" around this Ikemiya Shrine, and I think there were blacksmiths, so it may have been influenced by that.
