Hiroo Koshin Tower - Minato City

It is one of the many towers in the city. In the Edo period, they gathered at Yushinzuka and sip sake without having to sleep day and night so that their gods would not tell their gods. It is everywhere.

It is called Hiroo's Zenden Tower, and it is designated as a tangible cultural property in Minato Ward, and it seems to have been worshiped by local people for over 300 years.

The hand-water stone type Koshinto is quite rare (the only example I have actually confirmed is the Hoseki 8th year Kenno-mei hand water stone in the precincts of Washi Shrine, Owada-cho, Minuma-ku, Saitama City, Saitama Prefecture). Since all of them were built in the middle of the Edo period, I think it can be inferred that the ones with severe defects were also built at the same time. In addition, in the pamphlet distributed at the shrine, "The right side is severely damaged and the year is unknown, but since it is clearly engraved as the current Nisei, it is the same as the other two, which is the one of the second generation of Horyuyama Senzoji. " I generally agree with the conclusion, but this explanation is incorrect because "the present second generation" does not mean "the present second generation of our temple" but "that world and this world". Returning to the observations, all of them are engraved on the side with the words "Koshinto Ichishushu Shigen Tomohiro Anrakuya" and "Tomohiro Anrakusho Bosatsudo Gradual Study". This means, "The reason why we gather together for the Koshinto memorial service is for the comfort of that world and this world." After learning the teachings of, everyone becomes a Buddha. " As an aside, Koshin's belief originated in Taoism aiming for healthy longevity, but in Japan, the practice with Buddhism etc. has progressed, and it has deviated considerably from the original. Actually, the words "Become a Buddha" and "It's easy in this world and in the world" are engraved on this Koshinto, but the original Taoist belief in Koshin is for health and longevity, so don't die. This sentence, which is supposed to be after death, is quite strange. In other words, the wording inscribed on this Koshinto has a stronger Buddhist way of thinking than the original Taoist way of thinking. Therefore, this is evidence that Taoist beliefs have been incorporated into Buddhism.
