文字通り富士山がよく見える事で名付けられた。
当然今は見えない。
スッキリした街の雰囲気もあり、
歩いていると心地良かった。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 明治以降に開かれた坂です。当時は富士山が良く見えたようですが、南側にある青木坂の別名が富士見坂だっだため新富士見坂と呼ばれるようになったようです。
坂の中程、直角に曲がった部分には、かつて『新富士見坂』と記された石標がありましたが、現在その石標は、青木坂の坂下からそのまま真っ直ぐ西に進み、明治通りにぶつかる角に立っています。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 広尾駅から徒歩で7～8分の場所に有る。坂名の由来は、新富士見坂の東隣にある青木坂が「富士見坂」とも呼ばれていたが、こちらは大正に入ってから開かれた新しい坂なので「新」を冠して新富士坂としたらしい。それにしても富士の付く名は多い。いつの時代も日本人の心のシンボルですね。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 江戸時代からあった富士見坂(青木坂のこと)の近くに大正の頃に開かれた坂道でした。曲がりくねった坂道です。東京至るところにある富士見坂ですが、富士?の姿が今も見えるところなんてあるんでしょうかね。
