Not bad for a 24 hour place, was small but cheap. Only 410 yen and there was a nice pool that had well placed jets for foot massages.

First public bath experience in japan and went there and found out so interesting. Of course I did do some research about etiquette in public bath ? but still something mistakes I did. Firstly enter, I saw the locker, I thought is put bag..but I quickly take out again when I saw an uncle passby and take shoes from lock. Oh no, it's shoe ? locker. (lack of English label) Then go inside and pay exactly 410yen and go inside male..(almost go inside female) another locker and some men changing their clothes. This time I put the bag in correct way. Bravely naked myself and go inside. Take a wash before take hot pool. Just realise I need to sit rubber sheet in sauna. Thanks for Japan local "guidelines". By the way, it's a good spot to cruising gay. Quite a number toned handsome look Japanese aim at me (maybe no, my vision blur due to no spectacles I wore). Enjoy the whole journey with men's.

My first experience and an enjoyable one. I had read up on proper etiquette beforehand which definitely helped, but I finally just decided to go for it as I was still quite nervous about the experience. It was refreshing! I'll definitely be visiting more of these during my stay in Japan. To be specific to this bath, it was quite easy to get my locker, rent a towel and clean up beforehand. The woman had an English instructional sheet which was very helpful too. I was the only non-local which only added to the experience :)

More like a Sento than an Onsen but I’m not complaining! Local, casual, super clean, and very affordable. They have many great bath options and a sauna. I always like to bring my own towels and such but they do provide shampoo and body wash for free and a towel cost 100 yen.

Really cool neighbourhood vibe. Even if you've never been to a sentō before, the people in front of me were given a pamphlet in English on what to do. Tons of different indoor baths, including a cool purple one. They also had an outdoor bath and a sauna as well. Cost me ¥520 for entrance and a towel (although you could bring your own towel and save yourself the ¥170), and they reimbursed me ¥100 afterwards. Soap, shampoo and conditioner all provided free of charge. Would absolutely come again.

A nice public bathhouse. Great place to relax after a whole day of travelling. The temperatures are extreme here. You have your hot water baths, you have your freezing cold showers, and a baking hot steam room where I couldn't stay in there for more than two minutes. But the Japanese guys handle them with casual ease, they're obviously more used to it than I am. Ha ha. ^_^ Once you're in, you never want to leave because you're so relaxed. And clean. The overall cost I think it was about 100 yen, which is very good, for that price you are given a towel and a shampoo. Make sure you bathe before going into the hot baths. Familiarise yourself with Japanese etiquette before going in. Yes it's a sento because it's not a resort or a spa. It's a public bath house which is pretty much the same thing. It's a nice walking distance from plenty of hotels and restaurants nearby. It's nice to take a stroll around the streets of Kyoto to get there. It feels authentic. Overall, this is a lovely bathhouse. I recommend this place.

Local neighbourhood sento a bit outside of city center and not close to main attractions. Went there on a Saturday morning, around 15 mostly elderly men there. They seem to come here for a quick wash and soak and usually leave again after 1 hour. Installations are old-ish but clean and well maintained, reception lady was friendly and showed me a paper in English with useful info about price and etiquette. Cheap compared to other such sentos. The shoe locker has a wooden key, simply insert the key and push it down to open and pull it out to lock the box. There are 15 squat showers, 1 standing shower, 1 dry sauna, 4 pools of which 1 cold water and 1 hot purple water with a faint smell - my guess was lavender. For a simple, local experience I prefer this sento to the one in Tokyo Tower complex (see my review there).
