宅	宅見肇 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 烏丸松原のバス停の後ろの看板から、一寸立ち寄ったのがこの平等寺。何だ!この人の多さは? 大人から子供迄、入れ替わり立ち代わり参拝客が来る。人気のお寺だ? 約1000年前、橘行平(たちばなゆきひら)という敏達天皇の子孫がいてね、村上天皇の命で因幡国(現鳥取)へ赴任。神事を済ませた帰りに急病。何とか治して欲しいと神仏に祈り続けると、夢に像が現れて海中に浮いた、仏の国から流れ着いた木が有るから、回収して供養せよとの言葉… それは薬師如来の像だったんだな。行平は薬師如来の像を草庵作って祀ったそうです。その後、病気も治り無事に京に帰った行平にある夜来客が… そこには、なな何と、あの薬師如来像が立っていたという。鳥取から来たんだよ。それから行平は家を改造して作ったのがこの「因幡堂」長保5年(1003)の話。その後、多くの人に親しまれ、やがては天皇の耳にも入り、皇室の勅願所となり、皆さんに崇められたようです。で、バス停の看板、お陰でこの辺りは因幡堂平等寺の門前町として、古くから多くの参拝客だったそうです。高島屋も京都銀行もここから出発、そして時代の流れに合わせて今は都心へ。「ながぁ～いお付き合い」のCM通り薬師前町から長い繁栄の道へ歩むんだな?
