★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This review is for the ropeway only. The views from the top and the town don’t count. The ropeway is super expensive at ¥890 for a round trip for such a short little ride. It keeps in step with other ropeways in overcharging the tourists who have no other choice other than walking.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fun little ropeways for under ¥1000 yen round trip in December 2019. The top does not have a lot to do, but there are some excellent views of Lake Biwa, cats, and a shrine for love. Should have brought someone with me. Ended up taking a picture for some other couple instead. The gold-painted Torii and shrine at the top was unique, too.
