★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely outstanding restaurant. We made a reservation through our hotel and went with the 4800yen menu option. It was 5 or 6 courses and an absurd amount of food with outstanding quality. The best vlaue for money if you splurge on food and amazing service. Can't recommend this enough

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Attentive staff, was able to change the menu around for my vegetarian friend. Clean and nice ambience. Real authentic Kyoto cuisine, we really enjoyed ourselves :) Sakura pudding at the end was a nice way to finish our meal♡

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had to give this place a 2 star rating for service because we wanted to try this place while travelling through Kyoto in October but was not given the opportunity because they were not accepting young children for dinner service. It was a rainy evening and we were looking for some good tofu dishes to try. Granted it was quite a busy restaurant and we didn’t have reservations but they were considering squeezing us in until the gentleman at the front realized we had a young child in a backpack carrier. This was the only place we were denied service in our 2.5 week stay in Japan because we had our toddler with us.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had the hamo seasonal pike conger eel lunch today but it was way too much hamo for one meal. There was a little bit of yuba but not enough. Service was fantastic but the food was mediocre in my opinion. Maybe other courses are better but this one was just okay.

We chose the lower priced course meal. We experienced a nice variety of different tofu dishes. All of them were great. I would love to come here again.
