★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Surprisingly light flavor for how fatty it is. The noodles are flavorful and a good texture.
Good overall tonkotsu shoyu ramen.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Skipped the line at the place down the block and went here instead. Did not regret it one bit. This place is not trying to be anything fancy, just serving straight-up uncensored greasy ramen and it's delicious and satisfying. Has a very classic vibe too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Something definitely worth to try at least once, this is not typical ramen you would see daily, it had unbelievable amount of fat floating on top of the soup and I barely could see any noddle. On the other hand the pork was so tender and you don’t actually realize there are so much fat in the soup as you would normally do. My wife had the abura soba, it was delicious as well, all will be good after cold walk during winter.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the best ramen shops in Tokyo. Shio (salty) and shoyu (a bit sweet) ramen are the best. The broth is very nice and thick but not too thick at all.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ No cashier. Menu is tacked on the wall with a ticket dispenser. If you can't read Japanese, you need to ask how to select your ramen. I ordered the "chashu ramen." Wow, there were so many bits of soft pork fat in the soup with lard floating on the top. The soup didn't have much taste, so the print on the wall said to add "tare" (sauce) and sesame oil which I did, but the pork fat overwhelmed the overall taste. So, I added garlic, white pepper & crushed white sesame seeds hoping for a better taste, but not much improvement. I will NEVER eat here again for ramen full of pork fat, lard and fatty "chashu" for 1,020 yen.
