popular ramen shop which has queue outside always. Nothing spectacular, just ok for ramen in tokyo. There are better places but they do their marketing right.

The menu is not self explanatory for 1st timers. Had the flagship “hamaguri- chicken- niboshi” ramen. The soup is too sweet. Noodle is too thin too weak. In a way, this is a very sophisticated dish, but not a ramen that I was looking for.

Unique clam broth with nice chewy noodles. My chicken was a little pink, so I pushed it in my broth to cook the chicken longer. Easy to order via vending machine. Both vending machine and menus have English. Friendly staff. They’re in the Michelin Guide as a recommendation (not to be mistaken with having a Michelin star).

Honestly a better shellfish based broth ramen restaurant than Hototojisu. The flavor is stronger and poignant and you can definitely tell the quality of shellfish they use for the broth. They even add clams in the ramen itself.

Michelin Guide from 3 consecutive years since 2015. The queue was quite fast for a ramen shop with 15 seats available. For 2 peoples we had to wait about 30min on a Saturday afternoon. The broth is super rich and well done if you are a big fan of clam this is a must try. We tried the specially made chicken and clam tsukemen and Specially made triple soba and dry sardines and the clam ramen. Both were excellent! The price is average from all other ramen/tsukemen shop from ~800-1200¥per bowl and comes with onsen egg which was also delicious! You can find english menu but there not all translated but the main dish was which is easy I am giving -1 star due to the queue which my partner was not there at the time the waiter came to ask how many we were and we had to go back in the line even if there were 10 peoples in front and he was not polite. Luckily the queue was fast. Dont do the queue if you are still waiting for other members to come.

Mugi to Olive is a popular ramen shop in Ginza, Tokyo which has received the Michelin's Prestigious Bib Gourmand Award for three years. Located right behind the big and swanky Ginza Six shopping mall, I found out about this place as I searched for worthy ramen place to try on my few days in Tokyo. From the research, I'd read that there would be waiting time at this ramen shop as it can only accommodate about 10-12 pax at one time. To be honest I don't really like queueing for food and I'd rather go somewhere else to cure my hungry stomach but when eating in Tokyo and especially at popular places, this can't be avoided. True enough there were about 10 people in front of us as we reached but luckily we didn't have to wait too long. The turnover was rather quick which made the queue bearable to say the least. You will have to make your decision on what to eat by choosing it at the vending machine. Simple description is provided above the machine. We were seated soon enough, passed the order and waited for our dishes to be served. ◾instead of soba, I opted for specially made chicken & clam tsukumen. Good choice indeed - the noodle (inclusive of the ingredients) and soup were served separately. Maybe I was famished at that point of time that I finished it quickly but I swear that it was very good. ◾tamagokake gohan, or raw egg on rice, usually drizzled with soy sauce. I saw the person next to me eating that and I pointed to the waiter. Mugi to Olive’s version was pretty good mostly because of the quality of the egg. I simply poured the soy sauce and stirred everything together. The result? Silky smooth rice due to the egg and the saltiness from the soy sauce.. I'm in love! I was glad that I made the decision to queue although i hate waiting. Please make your way here if you can... You'll thank me for that

Ordered the special chicken and loved that the noodles were a bit firm. Soup was a tasty clam and soy broth. Add some olive oil to your bowl for the final touch - seems odd but the flavour is spot on! Pay at the machine, so bring cash and if it’s busy, you’ll need to wait back in line outside before space is cleared for you. Didn’t see drinks on the menu but not a biggie.

Every time I’ve passed there has been a line, but it moved pretty quickly. It’s a cash vending machine that gives you a ticket. I don’t love clams, so I tried the chicken. The noodles were firm and the soy sauce-based broth was delicious.
