★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is a gardens inspitted from implessionists arts litalely,like Mone,Doga,Sisley.So those landscapings are far from japanease one,even they had been influenced japanease Edo ella's arts enthusiastically. But this gareden musiem surroundded no obstractions towards Biwa lake.At observations tower, an extensive plospects would opens before tourists.Additionally those points,the opposit entrance from Hicoyama trains cable line is connecting the bus stations cappbled to reach the Ennryaku temple.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful garden with amazing views in all directions (some from the observatory). Perfect getaway in the summer, as it is much cooler than down in Kyoto. Self service footbath was a great addition. Great for kids to run around, even had a treasure hunt when we visited. Only downside is that the restaurant is terrible (but still offering the great view), it's ok for a break but not food.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very beautiful during yearly summer. Lots of flora. If you love flowers I would say you need to check the place. The ropeway is a little obsolete but just enjoy the ride. Ticket price is alright. On top you can visit the restaurant but we pack our snacks with us. 7/11 right across the station to the top. If you a fun of climbing you can use walking path to the top and back. Can save some money from paying for the ride up. You might meet monkeys and deers. We saw deers.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Totally worth to visit! Do take a bus from kyoto station platform C6 and sit on the right side of the bus, forget cable train and rope cart. Those are not worth it, or offer any opportunity for pictures. Bus route is also super exciting! Those curvy mountain roads!
At the top the view unbelievable! The museum gardens panoramic view spots and gardens are must visit!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The day I went there was bad weather, but it didn't bother me when I took a walk and saw flowers.
The frame of the picture is a mirror, and if you take a picture so that you and flowers can fit, it becomes a picture.
If you can take a good picture, it's really art.?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just took the tram and ropeway to the garden museum. From the garden, it is easier to see the Lake Biwa from the Kyoto/Shiga side. The garden was nice and better to take Baby car with you (if you have a baby). The cafe was also good.
