If you are staying in Japan during the cherry blossom season, you must definitely go there if you have the opportunity to. The entry is a bit expensive but it is very difficult to find another place with such beautiful gardens. This house is famous for the reflection of the trees on the table of the main room. Also there's a very traditional restaurant nearby owned by a very old Japanese man. I highly recommend it.
C	Condominium Wassanachotikul on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ its an amazing place, the house is beautiful, the view here is stunning. one of the great tourist spots in kyoto! super recommend for any photographers but if you come here during peak time, you might need to line up a little bit. i was in the line for 30 mins which is not bad compare to other places in japan.

It’s a pity that we couldn’t just chill and enjoy the garden view longer - I guess it’s all the same for the scenic spots in Kyoto! Still, highly recommended!

ジ	ジエームス on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went today and only saw 3 other people there, which meant it was very quiet. The best times are when it is full green (now) and in the autumn. The price to enter is ¥2000. You have to rest your camera on the table itself to get the “reflection” picture. If you are patient even during crowded times there, you can easily see it.
R	Rachel Boatwright on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This temple is truly beautiful, but remember the experience will be different than just the beautiful pictures. The temple itself is fairly small and the price is high, but if you want to see the famous photo spots I think its worth it. We really enjoyed visiting and taking in the fall leaves, but I don't feel the need to go again. If having many other people there will ruin the experience for you, it might be best to visit other temples, and there are plenty to choose from in Kyoto! Quite far in the upper northeast corner of Kyoto city, but within walking distance from the last train station. Not a good idea to come by car as parking is not available. I believe they used to take walk-ins, but since covid have switched to a reservation method, so its best to call ahead or check online ASAP since tickets sell out quickly during peak seasons.
