★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 日本橋高島屋に行くことから、直ぐ近くにある秤座（はかりざ）跡の碑に寄ってみました。八重洲北口通り沿いになりますが、ディーアイシービルの敷地内になるのでしょうか。碑文にはこう記されています。
「江戸幕府は、秤量（ひょうりょう）の基準統一を図るための秤役所「秤座」を設置しました。そして、秤の製作・販売・修理・検査などの独占権は、江戸秤座の「守随家／しゅずいけ」（東国三十三か国）と京都秤座の「神家／じんけ」（西国三十三か国）に分掌させ、全国の権衡制（けんこうせい）が統一されました。（中略） 江戸秤座の場所は、京橋の具足町（現在の京橋三丁目）に設置された時期もありましたが、江戸後期から明治八年（1875年）の度量衡取締（どりょうこうとりしまり）条例による秤座廃止まで、「箔屋町／はくやちょう」（現在地である日本橋三丁目）の地に置かれていました。当地は、江戸時代の度量衡に関する重要な史跡として、中央区民文化財に登録されています。平成二十七年三月 中央区教育委員会」
碑の下部に「寄贈 大日本インキ化学工業株式会社」とありました。考えてみれば、ここのディ―アイシービルは、印刷インキで世界的トップシェアを誇るDIC株式会社の本社ビルですから、中央区に寄贈されているのも社会貢献活動の一環なのでしょう。納得です。こうして史跡を碑という形だけでも残していただけるのは有難いことですね。
 Since I went to the Nihonbashi Takashimaya, I tried to stop at the monument of the balance mark (Hakariza) which was immediately nearby. It will be along Yaesu north exit street, but will it be in the site of the DAC building? The inscription says:
"Edo Shogunate has established a balance office called" Lotus "to unify the standard of weighing. And, monopoly powers such as production, sales, repair and inspection of balances are “Earrifice House / Shizunike” in Edo Libra (33 countries in the Eastern Kingdom) and “Kamiya / Rinke” in Kyoto Libra. It was divided into 33 countries in the west, and the national authority system was unified. (Omitted) The Edo libaza location was also set in Tsugushi-cho in Kyobashi (now Kyobashi 3-chome), but there was a period from late Edo to Meiji 8 (1875). Until the liberation abolition by the ordinance, it was placed on the ground of "Hofyacho / Hakuyasho" (the present location Nihonbashi 3-chome). The area is registered as a Chuo Ward Folk Cultural Property as an important historical site on Edo-era statistics. March, 2007 Chuo Ward Board of Education "
At the bottom of the monument was "Donate Dainippon Ink Chemicals Co., Ltd.". If you think about it, D-IC Building here is the headquarters building of DIC Corporation, which boasts the world's top share in printing ink, so donated to Chuo-ku may be part of our social contribution activities. I'm convinced. In this way it is nice to be able to leave the historic site in the form of a monument alone.
