I want to preface this review by saying that I'm not a French food expert - I have had more share and my expectations were fairly high considering the rating this restaurant had with Michelin. The ambience of the entire place was beautiful and the entire staff did a fantastic job of making me feel welcome and making the experience wonderful but a few points. - Wish they had known any allergies I had before arriving instead of asking me - Would have appreciated them not staring at me while I ate - has to be another way to monitor the guests - When I ask for something hot to drink - I don't want sparkling cold water to be brought out Also a side note that their plates were fantastic but the cutlery and glasses were mediocre. In general the plating of almost all the food was beautiful and I settled on their full tasting menu to really get an understanding of what this restaurant was about. Also to note something - the place was practically empty - granted it was dinner on a Tuesday night. First course Needed more seasoning - not very imaginative Second course Too much butter - I know this is French but no need for this much... Third course Appreciated the texture of the potato but the fish roe seemed to overpower the dish also the combination of texture of the crisp of potato with the seafood was enticing Fourth course Not sure why so much onion was used as it didn't feel like it belonged with the remaining of the dish but the sauce on the plate was a nice touch to balance the course. To add the grouper was cooked perfectly. Fifth course Steak was bland - not enough seer and nothing amazing about the way the vegetables were cooked either. Disappointed. Sixth course The ice cream with the chocolate mouse was very good but again lacked color, imagination and passion. Seventh course Loved this The variance in texture (from soft to semi soft to hard with the nuts), flavor and color turned this dish into something worth tasting Eight course Fantastic tea coupled with a variance of desserts that had a very playful range of flavors that I really appreciated and textures that were fantastical! Loved the fines of these pieces. Final note - I am not really sure why this restaurant is rated so high. The food just was not inspiring, lacked imagination and love. I wanted a wow factor - not something I have seen a thousand times done elsewhere. If I were to go back - I would only get the desserts as chef Hatae (not sure on spelling) did a fantastic job!

Went for a semi-romantic birthday dinner and recommend as a very nice classy and not overly dark/ultra modern place. The decor is fantastic, very elegant feeling like I was eating at the King's place. The plateware is also very good as was the service and overall experience. I would not say the food was 5-star for every single dish on the course, but the wine pairing made up for it and the deserts were very nice. I give it 5-star but as a rounded score.
