C	Clare HOANG on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I wish there is a minus * (star) for this place. We made a huge mistake to walk in this tourist trap. Food is so so and yet overpriced!!! If you cant stand the smoke, never come to this place. Also, what i hate the most is they dodgedly charge cover charge (500 yen per pack) Luckily we managed to refuse to be charged unreasonably for this. Also, service charge is higher than most of restaurants in Japan (10% vs 8%). Took really a while to wait for foods to be served too. All in all, bad experience.

Meals took so long to arrive, our evening was spoilt as friends left after they'd eaten rather than sit for another over two extra hours until the last person was served. Had to ask 3xs for water . Whereas in other places, water and green tea are offered as soon as you sit down. Lovely decor. . disappointing other things.

The food is fantastic and the quality of service that i got is over the roof! Price wise thoughh... i suggest to bring 5000 to 10000 yen when visiting and if you are drinking. S	SSP 5 mins a day tai chi on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Will never eat or drink here again. We chose it as it seems a beautiful location albeit a cold night. Had to ask if our drinks are coming, which came nearly 30mins later then our food, nearly 2 hours wait for beef steak which probably took no more than 3 mins to cook. Food is just mediocre compare to the price. The experience put a downer on our last night in Kyoto. There are other nicer places to eat. Avoid this place!
S	Stephan van Duin on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's a tourist trap; quiet, expensive and mediocre food. Worst part is all the extra hidden cost at the end. Like 500 yen to be able to use a chair. They apologize for it, but won't do anything about it. Crazy. Avoid this place! Edit: this cover charge is not common; it's the first time I've encountered it in Japan. And even then; there have been complaints about the hidden costs in reviews of this place for months, so there have been plenty of opportunities and time to resolve it. Real action would be to make sure it's clear, to print it in the menu, or to offer me something in return if not cancel it. This really ruined my evening, and it's in stark contrast to the politeness and hospitality i have enjoyed in Japan so far.
M	Man Sau David Yu on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We have reserved a table for 2 for this amazing restaurant with close cherry blossom view. There are two kinds of seats, indoor and outdoor terrace. Though when we arrived, the restaurant found out that they have made a mistake in reservation, getting us a table outdoor (7-8 degrees). But they correct it by asking a walk in table of Japanese to give the table back to us. They apologied with good manner. Overall, the food is great and much better than our expectation. And the service quality surpass all Japanese restaurants we have visited during our stay. Must go!
