日曜日のお昼時とあって、どこのお店も行列ができていました...
並ぶのも嫌なので商店街を行ったり来たりしてた時に目に付いていたコチラのお店。
なぜかガラガラ...
嫌な予感がするも、空腹に負けて入店。
入った瞬間、その予感が当たったことに気が付きました。
まあ、店主のおばさんの愛想の悪いこと!
直ぐに出ればよかったのですが、美味しければよいと思い着席して待ってるとお冷とソース入れに入ったお出汁を持ってきてくれたけど...
注文聞かない、これお出汁ですとの説明もない。
ビール飲みたかったけど、そんな気も無くなりしばらくすると人数分の明石焼きが運ばれました。
まあ、待ってる時にコチラの口コミ読んでたんでそういう事かと納得。
けど、接客には納得いかない。
お客さまは神様と思う必要は無いけど、最低限の接客は必要かと...
何かこちらが悪いことでもしたかのような雰囲気。
味にも納得いかない。
小ぶりであまり味のない明石焼きに小ぶりなタコ...
冷たい味のないお出汁...
隣のお客さんがお会計の時に、私の口にピッタリでとても美味しかったと店主に伝えると、今まで無口だった店主が自慢げに「ウチは明石焼き発祥の店やから当たり前や! 他の店なんか、熱い出汁に漬けて一瞬でボロボロになるやろ! そんなもん明石焼きやあらへん」って言うてた。
おばさん喋れるやん!って思ったけどね(笑)
まあ明石焼き発祥の店かどうかは知らんけど、俺は偽物の明石焼きでいいから熱々の明石焼きを薬味の入った熱々のお出汁に漬けて食べたいと思った。
二度と行かない!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 明石焼きは冷たい方が美味しいそうです。出汁は明石焼きを冷やす為にあり、味わう為ではないそうです。この店の明石焼きが本来の形らしいですが、明石焼きもタコも小さく満足度低いです。おばちゃんは焼いているところの写真を撮らせてくれたりして愛想は良かったです。ただ持ち帰りの客にも人数分の注文を要求していました。

焼きたて、熱々、ふわふわの明石焼き。
そのまま熱々で食べ、出汁につけて冷まして食べ、時間がちょいとたって冷めてきたやつを食べる。変化があって楽しいですよ。
明石焼き自体に味がついているので、出汁はそれを邪魔しない程度、ほのかです。柔らかくて、味わいが軽く、口当たりが良いです。
年配の女将さん、ピシッとした物言いをされるのできつく感じるかもしれません。
お酒を嗜まれたり、甘いものがお好きだったり、話をしてみるとすごく良い顔で笑われるので印象が変わると思います。

味が特筆してよければまだ納得はできますが、良くも悪くも普通。確かにだしの味は上品ですが、具はタコだけをアピールしている割にはタコは小さいです。「昔ながら」の味をどう受け取るかですね。
来ているお客さんはほとんど観光の方に見えましたが、明石焼きが食べたいというのであれば他にもっといい店はあると思います。

玉子焼きは超熱々で出てくるのだが、店の中の掲示に「冷めたほうが美味しい」と書いてある通りで、急いで食べたい人は「やけど防止」の冷たいタイプの出汁にちょっと浸して食べて。但し、せっかくの焼きたて、冷ましすぎは厳禁。よって出汁の中で、箸で割るのはナンセンス。数秒付けてぱっくり口に放り込むのがオススメ。
熱々のつけ汁は、そもそも無い。きんきんに冷めた出汁をくれるから、通は黙って食すべし。おばちゃんの玉子焼き愛か頑固かはかりかねるが、口の中で火傷することはない。
大正時代のレシピと約80年の焼き技術で作られた玉子焼きが待っている。

お一人で店を切り盛り。昭和レトロの店内で、やけに落ち着く空間です。
玉子焼は一人前600円税込とやや割高かな。
生地は、だし巻き卵のような甘みがあり、ぷるんと粘りがあります。中の蛸はかなり小さめ。
冷たい出汁は非常に薄味、明石焼の甘みでバランスとれていますね。
ご馳走さまでした。

他のお店がいっぱいで、がら空きだった
よこ井さんに寄らせていただきましたが、なるほど、、
おばちゃんの塩対応、味、タコの大きさ、ダシ(冷たく薄い)、薬味(なし)とも、私には合わず。近くのたこ磯さんで30分並んでもう一枚食べました!
