★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 岩屋（いわや）古墳（向山1号墳）は、全長52.0メートル、2段築成で葺石（ふきいし）を持つ前方後円墳です。水鳥、人物などの形象埴輪（けいしょうはにわ）が出土しています。後円部に天井と各壁が一枚の巨石で作られている横穴式石室が開いています。石室は古くから開口しているため副葬品はほとんど散逸していますが、金銅製（こんどうせい）の馬具などが出土しています。
Iwaya tumulus (Mukoyama No. 1 墳) is a front-rear cypress with a total length of 52.0 meters and a two-tiered structure. Shaped haniwa such as waterfowl and people are excavated. In the back circle is a side hole type stone chamber where the ceiling and each wall are made of one megalith. The stone chamber has been open since ancient times, so most of the burial goods have been dissipated, but gold and copper harnesses have been excavated.
