R	R S on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 70年ぶりに蘇った琵琶湖疏水船に乗って、京都蹴上から大津まで行ってきました。琵琶湖疏水船はサイトから予約できます。ただ便数・席数ともとても少なく、下り５便・上り４便、定員１０名（もう一隻は１４名？）。週5日運行。春（３・４・５月）は、GW中に残り数席のみ、それ以降は完売です。GWなのに空いているのはハイシーズンが8000円と高額なせいかと思います。桜・紅葉の季節以外でも十分価値があると思います。秋は１０・１１月のみです。気温２５度以上でも、疎水上は寒いので、5月以外は防寒が必要です。琵琶湖からの流れに逆らって猛スピードで進みます。元気な女性ガイドさんがみっちり説明してくれるので飽きることなく楽しめます。疎水開発の経緯や困難さとその価値を知ることで、明治維新後の京都という忘れられがちの歴史を新鮮に学ぶことができます。京都リピーターなら絶対一度は体験ください。（永続的に続くかどうかはわかりません。売上では8000万円くらいにしかならないので、２隻の維持費と人的コストを考えると厳しいはずです。） I went to Kyoto from Keage to Otsu on a lake Biwa canal that revived for the first time in 70 years. The weather was nice in mid-April, so I was relaxed with a non-billy cruise, but the inside of the tunnel was quite cold. It was about an hour on board, but I was able to spend a relaxing time.

S	Shin Mukaigawa on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 昼間は暖かい日でも、登りの船はすごく寒いので注意(11月)。乗っている間はずっと強風が吹いてる状態でさらにトンネルの中は冷えてますから。とは言うものの、京都市水道局は面白いことをやってます。見どころはトンネルの出入り口で船に乗らなければ見れないです。ただしトンネル内は船に照明はあるもののしっかりコンクリで塗ってあるので当時のレンガの地肌は見えません。途中の紅葉具合が良かったこと、サギがまったく逃げずに居ることなど、席が一番後ろだったので写真は撮りやすかったです。 Even if it is a warm day in the daytime, be careful as the climbing boat is very cold (November).
