Free refils of kimhci / lettuce etc to go with your samgypsal cuts of pork. K-POP videos playing constantly but not at a distracting volume level. Always busy on week nights.
Pick up a point card and visit every shop to get free t-shirts etc.
One of the best korean BBQ restaurant chains around!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Places where they cook food at your table are without doubt the best as you really get involved in the evening and food. The staff were very friendly and the gentleman(napal) who served us and cooked our food was very chatty and kept us entertained whilst at the table. Food was fresh and the cuts were really nice! They didn't have the set menu that we wanted but the chef recommended another set for us that we enjoyed. The only reason this got 4 instead of 5 stars was that I left still feeling hungry but I think this can be resolved by ordering rice with your food

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fell in love with Tonchang the first time I visited their Shibuya branch. I love how juicy the meat is and I really like the side dishes they served. Price is very reasonable. For Ueno branch, they may improve on the costumer service side. If you’re not assertive enough, you’ll have to wait for quite a while to get the staff’s attention. (Maybe because the place is always packed) Anyhow, I like Tonchang’s system and the food they serve so that makes up for the service. Will definitely head back to this restaurant. Though we might choose a different branch this time ?
