I met the best shop. In addition to cooking, it is first-rate for how the clerk responds and how quick it is. Every dish is delicate, unusual and beautiful. The contents of the box you bring in as a stick out ... This is a fun only for the person who went. I was surprised. And really delicious. It seems that there is also a commitment to vegetables, and the recommendation is Bagna cauda. The sauce blended with Haccho miso was really delicious. In particular, cream puff. What is this? ? A series of joy and excitement while being overwhelmed by a number of dishes that use unexpected ingredients. The best shop to have a fun time with a special person on a special day. It is very easy to use casual feeling unpretentious. Thank you for your happiness.

Excellent cross over between Japanese and Italian cuisine! Reasonably priced. 5 well thought courses to share between two were ideal.

Really cute place with excellent staff and a very approachable English menu. I had the hot veggie bagna cauda, which although it feels weird to order an Italian thing on my first night in Kyoto, was delicious and very Japanese feeling. Beautifully flavorful veggies from a very well-seasoned grill, with a miso mushroom sauce. Also very fun sake selection.

We made a reservation for 7:30pm tonight but when we arrived the staff refused to seat us and instead turned us away! My partner (who is Japanese) made the booking over the phone but got sick at the last minute. I speak a small amount of Japanese (enough to get by but not conversational) and went along with my mother to have dinner. When we arrived the waitress immediately tried to tell us they were full and we had to leave. I explained that we had a reservation for three and gave the name. I did this verbally and then used Google translate. While I was talking to the waitress she kept walking off to serve other people and trying to tell us to leave. I ended up calling my partner to explain over the phone to them about our reservation and ask them what was going on. They kept insisting that they had no reservation for us (it took several attempts before they would even bother checking their list). Eventually they just handed back my phone and walked off without saying anything. I was left to wonder with my partner and mother what the hell was going on. In the end we gave up and had to see ourselves out (the staff didn't even have the decency to see us out). We were now out in the cold and didn't know where we could go for dinner. If this wasn't bad enough, I found out later that about 10 minutes later the restaurant called my partner's number asking where we were and complaining that they had turned people away waiting for us! This is absolutely shocking behaviour! It is so far from the normally amazing Japanese hospitality. The staff clearly saw two foreigners and assumed that we couldn't have meant to come to their restaurant. Despite having an actual reservation we literally we're left to see ourselves out, turned away for being too foreign. I first came to this restaurant one year ago and LOVED the food. I was so excited to show my mother this place while she was visiting Japan for the first time from Australia. This is why I'm so upset to say that this restaurant *discriminates against foreigners*. I have never been treated so rudely in Japan before. Even with their confusion, we were treated like nothing but a nuisance. The staff and restaurant should be ASHAMED of themselves!
