★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This restaurant serves excellent Obanzai Ryori and is unbelievably priced. We had 3 delicious dinner sets here and left the restaurant awed by the simple and succulent food. The Kaminabe was all vegetarian and I was surprised how awesomely delicious it was. Beware that there is no English menu but the menu has pictures. Be adventurous and be well rewarded!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the few hidden traditional style restaurants in the business area of Shijo Karasuma. For grilled fish lovers, with seasonal veggies and tofu from Kyoto. Daily menu starts from JPY 900. Definitely worth it if you'd like to try local fresh cuisine, as they also decorate the plate with small cute details. My favorite decorated version is during fall.
