京都っぽい雰囲気は味わえます!学生向けですかね。おしゃべりがすごい!
You can enjoy the Kyoto-like atmosphere! Is it for students? Talking is amazing!

I was in trouble on Saturday night and searched on the internet and jumped in, but it was a very good shop! A good shop that you want to visit even once a week. Anyway, it was conscientious, and the staff changed it to half size (as a single customer), and it was so cheap that I was surprised at the time of accounting. I will definitely come again!

Obansai (literally ten thousand dishes) is the local Kyoto cuisine, using timely ingredients with homey flavour typcially served in small dishes. In a traditional wooden house, Taroya gives you the authentic Kyoto chill vibe and rich flavours, enjoyable for sharing or enjoying on your own alike. Don't miss out on the daily specials and feel free to choose from a wide selection of Japanese comfort food.

First time in Kyoto. Staying at MyStays hotel near by down Shijo Dori. They recommended this restaurant. Very good food and nice people. Not a lot of English but we got through it and that was part of the wonderful experience. Would love to return to experience more of the food.....the pictures make me hungry!

We found this place by accident after another was full, and left with no regrets. Taroya is evidently well-liked by the locals, and we were the only non-Japanese in this packed izakaya. The regular menu does have an English version, but their daily specials are listed only in Japanese. The grilled squid was really fresh, and the ochazuke (tea over rice, with salmon in our case) a refreshing end to a day in Kyoto

Wonderful obanzai in a side street full of good places to eat. Always a good sign when we were the only non Japanese in it. Food is reasonable. Most small dishes are 400-500 yen. Sake is about 650-800. Nice place to have a long leisurely dinner. Reservation highly recommended. Ask about their daily special because it is written in Japanese only. English menu for their regular food is available.
