It went through a major renovation and the guest rooms are large and comfortable, although the design was a little old-fashioned. The front desk and concierge staff were very helpful. The breakfast was disappointing, both in terms of the food and the poor service. I also had a poor experience with the club lounge. While the location is near a train station, it feels somewhat isolated, with very few stores and restaurants in the area.

A	Anonymous on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I won't write a long review (like I usually do on stuff like this), but I will say that YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTMENT on your visit to the Westin Miyako Kyoto Hotel. Great staff, great atmosphere, great facility and especially the great recently opened hot bath in the hotel. The grounds are always kept "spotless" and wasn't concerned about COVID-19 (even though other patrons were concerned) because I believe the hotel as a whole do well at what they do: Provide the best possible experience for each customer coming through their doors. That's enough before I start writing a book AGAIN!! :)

If you only budget for one nice hotel on your trip to Kyoto then The Westin Miyako Kyoto should be among your top choices. The staff is great and the grounds are well-maintained.
