★ ★ ★ ★ ★ my wife and I had a 10 course keiseki dinner here on our honeymoon in Kyoto. at first glance this restaurant does not appear to be top quality, but don't let that stop you. this was one of the get meals we had on our trip. if you can, try and grab some of the wagu beef.

Both meals were delicious and gracefully decorated on the plates by the head chef and his staff. Food quality and affordability are a winner, not to mention the cosy atmosphere and attentive service, which we greatly appreciated. Strongly recommend!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing kaiseki experience. A bit hard to book, but if you can get them on the phone it’s well worth the trouble. The food was incredible. Each dish had a variety of delicate flavors, the food was all super fresh (they killed our fish in front of us!), and each course hit a different part of the palate. The staff was super friendly and spoke English, and the restaurant regulars even struck up conversation with us. Take it from a couple of hardcore NYC foodies: this place is absolutely worth a visit.
If you’re in Kyoto, go here. You won’t regret it. Just make sure you go for dinner, because who has kaiseki for lunch?!?

we opted for the 5,500 yen menu and also the 11,000 yen including wagyu and larger dishes.
not super refined but very good, better quality than hugely disappointing Kikunoi Roan.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One the best meals we have had and certainly the best in Japan. Easily booked online via google. The chef owner was lovely and was very hospitable and friendly. Don't be afraid to ask him questions. We upgraded to the wagu beef menu and it was truly amazing! I would recommend everyone to have a meal here. The meal was very reasonable priced.and worth every penny.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We booked to go to this restaurant for kaiseki meal but got told when we got there that it's only available for dinner.
The meal was very well presented. The beef fillet was 5500¥ was probably the most worth it meal. The sashimi set came with tempura vegetable costing about 3000¥. The unagi set was 4000¥. Lunch of the day was white bait tempura g probably the cheapest set on the menu. You get free (all you want) condiments with your meal.
Not a cheap meal. The chef's jacket can do with a good wash. Paid a good price for 'pretty' ordinary food.
