しっかりとした技術とおもてなしで楽しめる京料理。2階は個室になっており、未就学児も快く受け付けてくれるファインダイニングでは珍しいので、子供を放牧して美味しい料理を食べたい方にはランチが超オススメです。

Kyoto cuisine that you can enjoy with solid technology and hospitality. The 2nd floor is a private room, which is rare in fine dining where preschoolers are willing to accept, so lunch is highly recommended for those who want to graze their children and eat delicious food.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you came to Japan to eat (which I'm telling you, trust me, is not a stupid reason to pay for the flight out there) you gotta try and get a reservation here.
Tourists beware though, because I was a special case. I speak some Japanese and went with a Japanese friend of mine, who made the reservation and whom actually knew the chef, Hayashi-san. I say that because I asked some questions about the food (because I like to document all the great food I eat in Kyoto) in my broken Japanese and before Hayashi-san realized he knew my friend, he was a bit spikey and grumpy with me because I was asking questions that I sometimes didn't understand the answers to.
With the very famous and high class resteraunts like this (and I'm not kidding, this place is the real deal) you might find this kind of disdain from the chefs who seem to find it fashionable to be grumpy nowadays, but I hope you'll still try to go. I do recommend having a native speaker make the reservation and go with you though.
Food meant nothing to me before I went to Japan, but after going to places like this, I'm a different person. It was amazing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was not allowed to take photos there while having my birthday dinner with my husband this summer but recently I found that others shared their cuisine pictures on the Instagram and what they had was exactly what we had at the restaurant. It disappointed me very deeply. Either Japanese or Chinese posted pics to share their happiness during dinner here but I did not have the right to do so. Is this a discrimination?
