★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Have you ever eaten a tempura dish you can't get enough of? Go to this restaurant and you will.
Even though the shop is a bit small with 26 seats available, the food here is awesome.
The seasonal tempura-don here is exquisite.
I usually feels greasy when I ear tempura-don and can't finish the whole bowl without getting tired of it, but not the one I tried this restaurant.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bit of a wait for this place but just grab a ticket and take a wonder. Think we waited about 20mins in total. Menu is in English and staff where friendly. Food was freshly prepared and very tasty. Portions are quite big so go hungry!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's located along the shopping street. Get your number and wait. They have 2 levels. Counter table on 1st and group dining on 2nd. Seats outside and inside for waiting. They serve two kinds of tea at the start and the end. Amazing food and portion. Seriously, you really have to be in Japan itself to get the best tendon. And the clam soup... if it wasnt because I was full, I probably would have ordered one more extra serving ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Crunchy tempura skin with ample amount of sauce pour on top, their tendon was just amazing, especially the unagi and the onsen egg, absolutely delicious. Given the price and the quality it delivered, it is worth the visit for a satisfying meal.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ MOST DELICIOUS TEMPURA I'VE HAD IN MY LIFE!!!!
It's such a small place... so expect a wait but it isn't bad at all. There were about 5 couples ahead of us and we got in in less than 15 minutes. It's super worth it.
They have a variety of tempura bowls you can choose from and they are so cheap compared to tempura in Canada. The bowls are huge!
We had the wild shrimp bowl (which came with five large shrimp tempura) and the winter special that came with an assortment that included shrimp, cuttlefish, puffer fish and some vegetables.
We also got their appetizer that had tempura-fried cheese balls and prosciutto.
Their batter is so light you forget you're eating deep fried food. The ingredients are so fresh that it definitely grabs your attention.
If you get seated downstairs you can watch them prepare meals. It is such a cool process.
You can take pictures just make sure the faces of the chefs aren't seen.
SAKE: my fiancé had two types of sake here. His most favourite and what I would recommend is the Kyoto one. It was very smooth and sweet as far as sake will be. It is also very light and very refreshing.
The staff are super friendly.
If you are around Gion which you really should be if you're visiting Kyoto... definitely make time to try this place out. You will never forget how delicious their tempura is!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We was heading to other restaurant but when we come across the entenece, we can resist and went it.
Food and sauce is great!!! They have two type of shrimp. Be sure pick those wild one, ¥1490. The shrimp is more flavorable and more dense. Can easily tell the different.
And it’s inexpensive, quality like this cost from less then a thousand yen. Defiantly great value for money. We were glad we passed by accidentally.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went there for dinner around 6pm and no line. Chose the deluxe dinner set and seafood with eel set. Both are absolutely delicious and fresh. Great and courteous service. Complimentary pickled veg are great and unique too. 2 dinner sets with beer came to around 3100 yen. Highly recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very authentic and tasty tendon! The portion is also very reasonable for its price and quality. The chef will deep fry your order fresh, right infront of you. The most popular set is Set B for 1500+ with unagi. I definitely recommend this place! There will be a queue so be sure to go early and put your name down.
