京都三条の神社。平安時代初期より1100年の歴史を持つ。子供の命名、名付け、姓名判断に全国から大勢の人々が訪れる。境内の榎の御神木は健康長寿と縁結びの御利益が厚い。この榎には坂本龍馬とおりょうの逸話があり話題となっている。 昔話の一寸法師の物語の舞台になった場所で一寸法師ゆかりの地である。 神社には古くから「勝駒」「勝守」が伝わり多くの人が必勝祈願に訪れる。

今回、参拝出来て良かったです。
大きな素敵な木があり素晴らしいかったです。

859年、右大臣・藤原良相（よしみ）によって創建されました。その後、藤原武信が厚く信仰し、名前の由来となりました。
古くから「勝駒」という駒形の守護札が伝わり、勝運、試験に勝る、苦難に打ち勝つといわれ、豊臣秀吉も戦いに持参したと伝わっています。
一寸法師が住んだ場所で、鬼を退治したあと、打出の小槌から金銀財宝を打ち出したことから、金運、開運、出世運のご利益があるといわれいます。
また、坂本龍馬が妻おりょうにあてて、御神木・えのきに伝言の「龍」の文字を刻み、その後2人は再会したことから、縁結び、夫婦円満のご利益があるといわれています。
御神木は樹齢850年で、とても立派でした。
歴史を感じる神社でした。

命名や姓名判断が有名だが、暮らしや健康を守る神様の神社として地域の人に愛されている。
私は三条高瀬川の材木問屋の酢屋から、坂本龍馬の逸話を嗅ぎ付け、お参りに上がりました。
鳥居をくぐり、抗菌仕様の手水舎で清め、拝殿、そして本殿へと進み、手を合わせます。本殿横に有ります✨平重盛が厳島神社から移植したと伝わる樹齢850年の榎(エノキ)の木、そして龍馬の伝言の説明に絵馬も置いてます。
150年前、この幹に刻んだ龍の文字、２人再会出きるんだな、スマートフォンなんて無い時代、良き恋愛の話だわ✌️
８つの末社が有る。宮姫社は弁天様を祀る。縁結びや恋愛の神様がいる。背面にはそっと時代を眺めて来た榎の木、今は文字の入れ込みは出来ないからね、絵馬を買って奉納です。勿論、御守りも…龍馬ファンなら一度は訪れてもいいかも✌️
