R	Regan Prendergast on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Unbelievable experience. The most friendliest staff, we were spoiled so much! The onsen's were absolutely beautiful, and the food was fantastic. The best way for my partner and I to celebrate our ten year anniversary! We will definitely be coming back to this onsen in the future. Highly recommended.

We were greeted at the bus stop with umberellas, sipped on tea with a waterfall view etc. The food was ornate with many local specialties- the style of Japanese degustation served with some western touches. The mixed onsen had a fab view of a waterfall and the snowy mountain. Would 100% recommend staying here for a night
A	Andras Benke on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Small and cozy onsen tucked in the valley. There is both a small male and female, one mixed and one private bath, overlooking the stream and waterfalls. In winter is surreal sitting in the steaming bath while everything is covered in thick snow. Staff is friendly, and location is just amazing. 800yen / person, open between 10-15h. Recommend!

The outdoor baths are mixed but they have special towels you can wear in the bath for rent. The staff has some limited English ability and they're very friendly. The only bad point was the price. It's rather expensive in comparison to the other onsen in the area.

You experience it right from arrival. We had the river view room without a bath (last one available), and it was awesome cos it was on the ground floor right by the river. There are onsen for male and female and also one for mixed. We tried all the onsens at different times of the day. It was wonderful - just go back to the one your body feels like it needs. The view is incredible, day and night. Very therapeutic, very authentic and wonderful experience. Thank you Taenoyu!
P	Poppy Le Chat on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Meeeeowwww! I visited here for drop-in onsen during the day. I used the female baths - a small indoor one upstairs, and a nice outdoor one ground floor. Outdoor bath was amazing - looking up onto trees holding snow, occasionally some falling down and sprinkling snow into the air. So beautiful! I came around 2pm and it was busy but not inconveniently so, and the facilities are tops, lots of English signage. The water is yellow clay and temperature is typical. The mixed gender outdoor bath is the star, but I was too shy. I would’ve liked to come earlier to dine and relax at their restaurant too (10am-2:30pm). 800 yen. Meow, my fur is smoother and silkier than ever. 4 paws ????.

There's a mixed outdoor pool that is larger plus a smaller private one that can be reserved. If you stay overnight the tatami rooms are basic, clean and may look over the mountain stream. Food at least during winter focuses on local fermented flavors and mushrooms. Local sake is excellent.
J	J Young on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Love the outdoor mixed/co-ed onsen! The view is the waterfall. We went for day trip. We brought our own towels and small towels for onsen. My wife brought cover up to wear inside the onsen. so she enjoyed the experience really well. Men use a small towel to cover up. There are two pools with two different temperatures. We like both. There’s shampoo, conditioner and soap and a place to shower. If you are looking for an outdoor mixed genders onsen, you have to try this! It’s the best we’ve tried for us so far. We are at their restaurant too. Last order at 1400, I think. It’s mostly soba/ noodle and very Japanese. But we like it. They don’t have English menu and they don’t speak English much either. But it’s no problem for us at all. We had a great experience overall.
