賀陽宮朝彦親王(1824~1891)は波瀾万丈の生涯なのに加えて名前が次々に変わっているのが面白い。
私は幕末史において「中川宮」としてこの人の名前を知っていたし、こちらの通り名が最も有名。
「賀陽宮」はその後で、さらに明治になってからは「久邇宮」とまたまた変わる。
その「久邇宮」からは昭和天皇と結婚した香淳皇后が出たが、「久邇宮」と「中川宮」が同じ人とは知らなかった。
この「久邇宮」の孫が香淳皇后であり、息子さんのひとりが東京に美しいアール・デコ調の邸宅を建てた(そして今は東京都庭園美術館になっている)朝香宮鳩彦王だし、また第二次世界大戦後に首相になった東久邇宮稔彦王も彼の息子。

I knew this person's name as "Nakagawamiya" in the history of the late Tokugawa period, and this street name is the most famous.
After that, "Kaya-no-miya" changed to "Kuni-no-miya" again in the Meiji era.
From that "Prince Kuni Asaakira", Empress Kojun, who married Emperor Showa, came out, but I did not know that "Prince Kuni Asaakira" and "Nakagawamiya" were the same person.
The grandson of this "Prince Kuni Asaakira" is Empress Kojun, and one of her sons is Prince Yasuhiko Asaka, who built a beautiful Art Deco-style mansion in Tokyo (and is now the Tokyo Metropolitan Teien Art Museum). Also, Prince Naruhiko Higashikyu, who became prime minister after World War II, is his son.
