Just in the south of mausoleum of Emperor Saga is Shonenji Temple. The temple belongs to Jodo sect of Buddhism and the main objects of worship are statue of Amida Nyorai and Honen who is the founder of Jodo sect. Yoiu can just step in to view its garden with a beautiful backdrop of a cedar forest serves itself as borrowed landscape. There are a lot of jizo statues in its garden as well. The temple is also in charge of Kita Saga Reien. This is not a place open for tourism.
