これより北にはあまり店がないので、大覚寺に行く前にエネルギー補給するために寄りました。
季節感がある和菓子が目につきましたので、それを購入しました。
京都の和菓子屋ということで値段は少し高めですが、買ってみるのも良いと思います。
1階には茶房もあります。
 A Japanese sweets shop about a 10-minute walk from Saga-Arashiyama Station.
There aren't many shops north of this, so I stopped by to replenish my energy before going to Daikakuji.
I saw a seasonal Japanese sweet, so I bought it.
The price is a little high because it is a Japanese sweets shop in Kyoto, but I think it's a good idea to buy one.
There is also a teahouse on the first floor.

感染対策もしっかりされていて、会場もゆったり広かったです。丁寧に教えていただいて五年生の娘に難しいところは失敗したときも再度挑戦させていただき娘も大満足です。
一つ一つのお菓子の由来や、季節によって内容がかわることなど丁寧に教えていただきました。
お菓子もお抹茶もとても美味しかったです。
また季節を変えて参加したいです！
I went there for the first time because I wanted to experience making Japanese sweets!
Infection control was well taken and the venue was spacious. My daughter is very happy to teach me politely and try again even if I make a mistake with my 5th grade daughter.
He carefully taught us the origin of each sweet and the contents that change depending on the season.
The sweets and matcha were very delicious.
I want to participate again in different seasons!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our family booked a sweet making class here. Well we shaped and moulded already made sweetened rice into interesting shapes. Felt like a kid with playdoh :). The whole family had a great time even though the whole thing was in Japanese. Nearby to the famous bamboo forest and far more interesting.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went here with my wife when we were on our Honeymoon in Kyoto last year.
It is a nice little shop on the outskirts of Kyoto. The Teacher and staff were really nice.
The class was fun and the Wagashi we made were delicious.
The teacher only spoke Japanese but it was not a problem since he showed us exactly what and how to do and you also got a sheet describing what you'll be making.
A definitive recommendation, especially if your looking for something that's not your typical touristy stuff.
