山	山田万歳 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 白岡市指定史跡。蓮田市綾瀬貝塚と並ぶ元荒川流域最奥の貝塚（なお，関東最奥の貝塚は栃木の「藤岡貝塚」。）。当時の海岸線の目印になるため，市史などの貝塚の分布地図に正福院貝塚の名前が載っていたりする。いずれにせよ，この付近に海（奥東京湾）があったことを伝える史跡である。市サイトによると，昭和六十二年冬の発掘調査で縄文時代前期後半の住居跡が二軒検出されたことから，貝塚の形成時期を縄文前期後半と推定する向きが強い様である。したがって，7~8000年前，この白岡市には海岸線があった可能性が高い。 Shiraoka City designated historic site. The innermost shell mound in the Motoara River basin, along with the Ayase shell mound in Hasuda City (the innermost shell mound in the Kanto region is Tochigi's "Fujioka shell mound"). Since it serves as a landmark for the coastline at that time, the name of Shofukuin shell mound may appear on the distribution map of shell mounds such as city history. In any case, it is a historic site that tells us that there was a sea (Oku Tokyo Bay) near here. According to the city site, two dwellings in the latter half of the early Jomon period were detected in the excavation survey in the winter of 1987, so it seems that there is a strong tendency to estimate that the shell mound was formed in the latter half of the early Jomon period. Therefore, it is highly possible that Shiraoka City had a coastline 7 to 8000 years ago.
